About FIRST
How FIRST Robotics Competition works
FIRST Robotics Competition brings high school students and mentors together around a new game released each January. Teams design, fabricate, program, and test an industrial-size robot before taking it to alliance-based events.
Students also manage strategy, fundraising, outreach, media, and event preparation. The work is collaborative, deadline-driven, and grounded in real engineering decisions.
